I Used to Be You
If it was trendy, I bought it. If it was cute, I bought it. If I liked it on someone else, I bought it. My closet was full, and I still didn’t know how to get dressed.
How I Got Here
For years, I bought whatever caught my eye. Trends, "cute" pieces, whatever felt exciting in the moment. My closet was full — and I still felt like I had nothing to wear. I donated and sold so much over the years before I realized: this wasn't the way.
I've spent about 15 years putting outfits together and showing up on the internet, refining my style along the way. My style has always leaned casual and elevated — I've always liked looking put together, even in something casual. But it became more lived-in and real once I became a mother. Less time. More comfort. Sizing up, looser and more modern fits, nothing skin-tight, no tight-waisted bottoms.
That's when I really figured it out — how to shop by color intentionally, how to choose quality over quantity, what to keep and what to let go of. I found what I now call the sandwich method, which brought real ease to putting together outfits. I developed an eye for balance and proportion. I started relying on outfit formulas, especially on the mornings I had no time to think.
It was a lot of trial and error. Now I get to share what I learned, so you don't have to make the same mistakes I did.
My Approach to Style
No overcomplicating, no chasing trends. The Crystalin Marie Method came from experience, discernment, and real life — built on a strong foundation, color theory, quality over quantity, and simplicity.
Why I Created This
For the woman who's lost herself a little since having kids. For the woman who doesn't know how to dress current anymore. For the woman who loves to shop but still doesn't know how to put outfits together, or how to style what she already owns.
I've lived pieces of all of that. The Crystalin Marie Method is what I built to break the cycle — for me first, and now for you.
